To cultivate the world renowned variety Merlot in this region is both a rarity and challenge. The Piedmonts’ geological condition and climate offers ideal vegetational and ripening conditions to obtain a fruity and complex wine.
To highlight its special flavour characteristics the wine is matured for at least one year in French barrique, eliciting finely aromatic and long lasting fruity aromas.
The Merlot is classified as a Monferrato rosso DOC in the Piedmont.
